Conor McGregor has yet again caused a stir by releasing new photos of his swole physique. Amidst speculation of him re entering USADA’s drug testing pool, he has clearly not been idly waiting during his UFC hiatus, with a discernible increase in muscle mass.

McGregor has not entered the octagon since his July 2021 fight against Dustin Pourier which resulted in a left leg break in the first round. Following the injury, the former UFC champion received extensive treatment, underwent surgery and has now beefed up his appearance, showcasing his dramatic muscle gains in an instagram post.

On his podcast, Bantamweight UFC fighter Sean O’Malley reacted to McGregor’s recent transformation, particularly the growing size of his head: ‘Is his head getting bigger by the month? Bro his whole body.’

He continued to comment on McGregor’s climb through the weight classes from featherweight and upwards: ‘He’s transformed like no one I’ve ever seen. At 145lbs, fighting Jose Aldo, to present day. He’s transformed.

‘It’s wild to see his face, his head looks huge. Is that from supplements? It ain’t from cheese. That Irish cheese’ said O’Malley.

Despite a date not yet being locked in, the Irish MMA star is set to step foot in the cage later this year against Michael Chandler. However, this all hangs upon him re-entering the drug testing pool for USADA. McGregor must be in the pool for a minimum of six months before he can return to the UFC, something that previously caused conflict between the fighter and the organisation.

In the mean time, fans hang upon cryptic tweets from the former champion saying he is ‘Long in the pool’ and that his followers should ‘Stay Ready for the date’.
