Unbelievable Revelation: Joe Rogan Claims Gervonta Davis Packs a Punch Like a Young Mike Tyson, Despite Being Smaller

Nevermind the dehydration clause Gervonta Davis made Ryan Garcia sign before their fight, that will remain a chip on that victory from ‘Tank’. Joe Rogan thoroughly enjoyed watching Davis dominate during that fight and he made it clear in one of his most recent episodes of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’.

He was so mesmerized by Gervonta’s fighting style, that the conversation took a turn and ‘Tank’ was even compared to Mile Tyson in his prime. Albeit smaller, it is true that Davis does have similar punshing power that leaves his opponents completely disabled when they land.

It hasn’t only happened with Garcia, it’s taken place multiple times throughout Gervonta’s career.

During the podcast episode with comedian Ali Saddiq as the guest, both of them started waxing poetic about Gervonta’s skill. Rogan came clean about how he felt the fight could be, saying: “I didn’t think Tank and Ryan was just gonna be the selected fight. I just thought Tank was just too much. He just has too many tools, and his style is so weird.

He is so conservative in the beginning. He’s not throwing hardly any punches. But the f**kin threat of danger always looms. It’s terrifying.” Even Joe didn’t think Garcia stood a chance against ‘Tank’ but he never once mentioned that dehydration clause that Davis made his opponent sign. If that clause didn’t exist, there is a good chance the fight would’ve turned out different.

But Saddiq took the praise to a whole new level when he decided to compare ‘Tank’ to Mike Tyson. Those comparisons don’t come too often but there is some truth to them once you watch both of them fight. Here’s what Saddiq said: “It’s like Tyson. Like people don’t realize, this s**t is like small Tyson.

Like soon as you throw anything, like If I throw my jab out there, I need my knees bent, and I need my elbow to guard my goddamn liver, kidney all that s**t. All this s**t is bad news.” Do you agree with this comparison or is comparing Davis to Tyson a bit much?
