According to reports, George Foreman is going to be slapped with a lawsuit. Two women have accused the famed boxer of sexual assault in the 1970s, which he has denied.

The two women are rumoured to be the daughters of his acquaintance, with whom he also worked. Foreman is intended to pay 12.5 million dollars in compensation.

George has had a lengthy yet brilliant career, beginning with his early efforts toward Olympic gold, to have once held a heavyweight belt, to eventually retiring after having held the WBA and IBF heavyweight crowns. So, with these claims, the mud has been flung against the wall; the only question now is whether any of it sticks.

“I don’t run away from them either”, George Foreman intends to fight for himself

George “The Heywood Giant” Foreman disputed all of the charges levelled against him. He further alleges that these accusations were made in order to extort him.

In a formal response to the claims, George Foreman says, “Over the past six months, two women have been trying to extort millions of dollars each from me and my family. They are falsely claiming that I sexually abused them over 45 years ago in the 1970s. I adamantly and categorically deny these allegations.”

He still goes on to say, “The pride I take in my reputation means as much to me as my sports accomplishments, and I will not be intimidated by baseless threats and lies. I am, and always will be, guided by my faith and trust in God. I will work with my lawyers to fully and truthfully expose my accusers’ scheme and defend myself in court. I don’t pick fights, but I don’t run away from them either.”
