Jack Cullen scored a stunning one-punch knockout against Mark Heffron on Saturday night.

The British and Commonwealth super-middleweight titles were on the line for Cullen and Heffron as they clashed on the undercard of Liam Smith vs Chris Eubank Jr 2.

Heffron had previously won the titles with an impressive knockout victory over Lennox Clarke last year, but this time, it was not to be for the man from Oldham, Lancashire.

In the third round, Cullen caught his opponent flush with a thunderous left-hook.

Heffron’s legs immediately buckled, as he dropped down to his knees and he looked seriously unstable.

The 31-year-old bravely made it back to his feet, but as the referee evaluated whether he was fit to continue, Heffron collapsed back down to the canvas.

Fortunately, he returned to his feet again and seemed to recover well, but by this point the fight was already over, with Cullen coming out on top.

And Cullen was delighted with the win, as he said in his post-fight interview: “It’s unreal, when I was watching boxing with my dad as a kid, this is all I ever wanted to fight for and I’ve not just fought for it, I’ve won it.”
