Saul “Canelo” Alvarez’s latest win over Jermell Charlo has helped him climb up the rankings of the best pound-for-pound boxers.
Although Canelo was unable to regain the number one position he once held, the fighter from Guadalajara, Jalisco, managed to move up after retaining his undisputed 168-pound title.
Alvarez has moved up to fourth place after his performance last weekend. With three successful defenses of his 168-pound crown, an impressive record of 60 wins, two draws and 39 knockouts.
Alvarez has proven to be an unstoppable force in boxing, accumulating a total of 263 weeks in this elite ranking.
It should be noted that Canelo is the only Mexican representative in the Top 5.
