Whether you like it or not, the Paul brothers have made a serious splash in combat sports. Making headlines every time they put on gloves or enter a squared circle, Jake and Logan have brought a unique buzz to MMA, boxing, and pro wrestling.
Both are social media stars, having started on YouTube and continuing their influence via vlogs, podcasts, or other business ventures. Jake has built a boxing empire with Most Valuable Promotions, and Logan, who has a successful podcast, has entertained in WWE and currently works with KSI to promote Prime Energy Drink.
They are successful inside and outside of the ring. While it is unknown when Jake will fight again, Logan returns to boxing to face MMA star Dillon Danis on October 14. Logan fights in the co-main event under KSI vs. Tommy Fury on an MF & DAZN: X Series card.
If Logan wins, it could bring him back to the sport full-time. Would Jake have to compete for attention against his brother? Based on their resumes, who will get more?
Here’s a breakdown of Jake and Logan’s boxing history. Who is the better boxer between the two?
Jake Paul record, bio
Paul beat fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib via TKO in his first career fight in 2020. He fought former NBA star Nate Robinson next, knocking him out in two rounds.
“The Problem Child” fought three times in 2021. He beat Ben Askren in April and Tyron Woodley in August, two former MMA champions. Originally scheduled to face Tommy Fury in December of that year, Fury had to back out after suffering a broken rib. Woodley took his place at the last second and was knocked out in six rounds.
The Fury fight was nixed again after the Englishman suffered visa issues. A bout with replacement opponent Hasim Rahman Jr. also fell through due to contractual issues surrounding weight. In October 2022, Paul beat MMA legend Anderson Silva via unanimous decision and scored a knockdown against him.
The leader of Most Valuable Promotions, Paul finally fought Fury in February 2023, knocking down the boxer before losing via split decision. Paul returned to boxing in August, beating MMA star Nate Diaz via unanimous decision. While waiting for his next opponent, Paul is also training for his PFL MMA debut.
Logan Paul’s boxing history
In 2018, Paul competed in an amateur boxing fight against KSI in a bout that ended in a draw. The two would compete in a rematch, this time as professionals. That fight was promoted by Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing. Hearn supported the matchup after seeing the numbers the first bout achieved. KSI claimed a split decision before a crowd of 12,000 fans at the Staples Center.
Paul returned to the ring in 2021. He faced boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an unscored exhibition bout that went the distance.
Who is the better boxer: Jake or Logan?
Logan’s limited boxing experience doesn’t help his cause against his brother, who has made boxing a career.
Jake has consistently fought in the ring and spars when he isn’t even fighting. While the only legitimate fighter he’s faced is Tommy Fury, he has been in the ring more often. Against Diaz, Jake worked on his cardio, and he put in the work against MMA legend and occasional boxer Anderson Silva.
What Logan does have over Jake is competing against one of the greatest fighters of all time, Floyd Mayweather, and going the distance against “Money.”
While Logan started the trend of boxing influencers, Jake has managed to perfect it. Logan has also focused on competing in WWE, his podcast, and other ventures like Prime. Jake continues to oversee young boxers, hold events, and he regularly competes.
As of this moment, Jake is the better boxer.
