Jake Paul will return to the ring on December 15 – but has not announced his opponent.

The YouTuber bounced back from losing to Tommy Fury by outpointing UFC star Nate Diaz in August and has reiterated his desire to win a world title. And after announcing his return, he said: “Eight fights in the boxing game and I’m already its biggest name.

“I’ve proved that I can headline the biggest global events and defy the odds. PPV after PPV after PPV, and I’m just getting started. My mission is to be a world champion and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get there. December 15 is the next step on my journey, and I promise you’re not going to want to miss it.”

Until now, Paul has focused mainly on fighter former UFC fighters and came up short when he lost to Fury in Saudi Arabia earlier this year. Afterwards, he revealed he would be focusing on fighting on smaller events when he told TMZ: “The conclusion we are getting to is doing smaller events potentially and focusing on the fight, not the business side of it. Not needing it to be some big pay-per-view draw, just focusing on the sport. That’s where my head is right now and that’s what we’re going to try to execute.

“The Tommy Fury rematch is still there, I want KSI and right now I’m looking at professional boxers. Building my record and fighting guys with the same level of experience as me, testing myself in there like a traditional boxing route. There are some ideas and names there on the horizon, we’re at the drawing board right now so just waiting to see what happens next.”

Paul was ringside to watch brother Logan beat Dillon Danis on Saturday night when the MMA fighter was disqualified in the sixth and final round. Paul also watched bitter rival KSI lose on points to Fury who saw off his second influencer boxer of the year.

KSI and Paul have long been linked with a showdown and at one stage had been expected to fight at the end of this year, but negotiations stalled.
