At The Age Of 56, Mike Tyson Is Ready To Return To The Ring For These Two Boxers

Mike Tyson has named the two fights that could tempt him back into a boxing ring, and they’re both against men he’s already locked horns with in the past.

Tyson was last seen in action by fight fans in an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr in 2020, which was controversially scored a draw.

And when TMZ raised the possibility of another meeting with Jones, as well as a third clash with old foe Evander Holyfield, “Iron Mike” issued the same response.

“I could be persuaded.”

“I don’t know. When I see the money people for the end of the product, my mind works clearer. I can’t express myself right now financially.”

Jones himself actually fought professionally earlier this month when, at the age of 56, he went the distance with former UFC star Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis at the Fiserv Forum in Winsconsin.

Perhaps his former opponents recent outing has inspired the now 56 year old Tyson to dust off the cobwebs and box under the bright lights in front of his adoring fans once again.

Tyson fought Holyfield in two memorable world title fights in 1996 and 1997, the second of which was infamously dubbed “The Bite Fight” after Tyson was disqualified for sinking his teeth into ‘The Real Deal’s ear.

The two have long since made up since the events of that night, and recently launched their own brand of cannabis edibles, of course in the shape of an ear.

There had actually been discussions for Tyson and Holyfield to face off in an exhibition fight back in 2021, however, the would be trilogy bout ultimately never materialised and the score remains 2-0 to Holyfield.
