Heavyweight Legend Mike Tyson Makes Bold Prediction for Errol Spence-Terence Crawford Clash

Heavyweight boxing legend, Mike Tyson, has weighed in with his prediction ahead of a potential fight between Errol Spence Jr and Terence Crawford.

Spence vs Crawford has been teased to fans countless times over the years – with a deal coming agonising close on several occasions – but this week reports broke that terms for the undisputed fight had been ‘agreed’ by both parties, with a date and venue lined up.

The two welterweight champions colliding is seen by the majority of hardcore fans as the best possible matchup in the sport. They boast an incredible record of 67 wins combined, 52 knockouts and with zero defeats.

 

In an interview with ES News ‘Iron Mike’ seemed confident of who would win. He named the WBO champ, Crawford, as the man he sees leaving the ring victorious, and based his reasoning and a shared opponent.

“The reason why I say Crawford is because looking at the guys they both fought, like, Porter and stuff.

“Nobody did to Porter what he did to him.”

 

Spence faced Porter in 2019 and won by a close split decision, whereas Crawford dispatched of ‘Showtime’ in 2021 via 10th round stoppage. Porter would go on to retire after the fight.

Boxing journalist, Mike Coppinger, was the first to break the news a deal had been struck and says there are tentative plan for a trilogy, with the third fight taking place up at 154lbs.

The report claims the fight will be at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 29, and will have a two-way rematch clause that will be the loser’s to activate within 30 days.
