The boxing legend explains to the WWE icon how the Irishman has caused a major impact in the world of combat sports.

Conor McGregor has undoubtedly changed the entire sport of mixed martial arts. The sport is more popular than ever around the world, thanks to the Notorious One. Mike Tyson and The Undertaker, who are huge stars in their respective fields themselves, recognize the greatness of the Irishman.

Recently the Hall of Fame wrestler joined Tyson on his podcast and discussed how important it is for fighters to have a ‘gimmick’. “He has a gimmick. He’s crazy, he’s bold…gimmick. Real life he is a beautiful guy,” said Tyson on his podcast.

 

The Undertaker added on the praise and said, “Sells tickets, put asses in seats.” The Irishman is undoubtedly the biggest star of the sport and fans are in anticipation of his return. The fighter will coach a group of fighters against UFC’s Michael Chandler in the upcoming Ultimate Fighter show.

Mike Tyson believes Conor McGregor doesn’t get the praise he deserves

The UFC superstar after becoming the two-division champion decided to fight arguably the greatest boxer in recent times, Floyd Mayweather. The two biggest superstars from MMA and Boxing collided in 2017 producing one of the biggest fights of all time.

Mike Tyson in his podcast tried to explain to his guests how big of a feat it was for McGregor to move to a sport he was unfamiliar with and go TEN rounds with the ‘greatest boxer in last 100 years’. McGregor lost the fight to Mayweather in the tenth round via TKO.

Tyson believed people don’t understand how big of a deal it was for the Notorious One to go ten rounds against Mayweather. The heavyweight boxing legend believes people haven’t really let that fact sink in. Conor McGregor surely ranks at a very high place in Mike Tyson’s books.
