Mike Tyson confirmed that he would rather have brain damage from an amazing career than merely survive after a forgettable journey in the sport. At this point, Terence Crawford was dead against Tyson’s approach to boxing as a career. “F*** that. You can have that s**t; I’m trying to go home and enjoy my family,” he declared.
As per Crawford, after all, boxing was yet another profession that provided life and food. In his opinion, boxing could never exceed the value of a healthy life with one’s family. Thus, ‘Bud’ announced, “You can be f***ed up, Mike.”
“I’m cool. He can be f***ed up all he wants; that’s his decision to be f***ed up,” Terence Crawford reiterated. At this, Tyson, who later provided Errol Spence Jr. with a strategy against ‘Bud’ Crawford, admitted, “I agree. That’s just who I am. I am who I am“. Following this assertion by Mike, three of them laughed.
