Mike Tyson had a hilarious response when film director Todd Phillips asked him if he wanted help on how to throw a punch

The former world heavyweight champion, who knocked out 44 opponents in his career, starred in the 2009 comedy ‘The Hangover’ – a film about the most mental stag do ever.

Tyson, who plays himself, gets physical when he levels Alan Garner [Zach Galifianakis] with a right hand. Behind the scenes, Phillips asked ‘The Baddest Man Of The Planet’ if he needed any help with the punch and he replied in brilliant fashion.

‘Iron Mike’ had the cast and crew in stitches when he said: “The captain of the Jewish debating team is going to teach me how to throw a punch.”

Phillips also told the story when on James Corden’s Late Late Show alongside Bradley Cooper, who became friends with Tyson on the set and even ended up getting a signed belt off him.

Tyson would reveal in 2012 that he was “high on cocaine” and only took part in the film to fund his drug addiction.

But the cast members helped him to change his lifestyle for the better.

Tyson said on In Depth With Graham Bensinger

“They had to know I was messed up. I couldn’t talk. I had the cocaine talk,’

“So those guys are just beautiful people. They had my back, and I appreciate that and stuff, then they asked me to come back [in The Hangover 2].”

In the film, Tyson’s tiger gets stolen by ‘the Wolfpack’. In real life, he genuinely had a pet white bengal tiger called Kenya that he lived with for over a decade.

Speaking to GQ Sports earlier this year, Tyson said: “I did have a pet tiger, her name was Kenya and she was around 550 pounds.

“I had a great affection for her; I kept her, I slept with her, I kept her in my room.

“She stayed with me I had her about 16 years. But she got too old and I had to get rid of her when her eyes and her head got bad.

“Oh and she ripped somebody’s arm off.”
