Boxing icon Mike Tyson is a heartthrob for every combat sports fan. Whether you’re a fan of boxing or not you have heard about and admired the craft of Mike Tyson. Thus, even MMA and Wrestling fans speak so highly about the former heavyweight champion of the world. By the time MMA boomed, Tyson was already too old for such a violent sport. However, during the peak of Wrestling and the attitude era, Tyson appeared in a WWE main event. What’s more interesting is back in the 90’s, there were also plans of Mike Tyson fighting Triple-H having only had $150,000 left. The fight was boxing-style which never came to see the light of day.

Mike Tyson at his peak was one of the most ruthless knockout machine anyone has ever seen. Tyson breezed past 50 opponents in his career and 44 of those victories were knockouts. Thus, at the beginning of his career, he was called ‘Kid Dynamite’. As Tyson grew older he gained a reputation as the ‘Baddest man on the planet’.

Due to this persona, he was a perfect match for WWE. Wrestling was quite famous back in the day and fans were treated to fantastic events and storylines. When Tyson faced a boxing ban due to the Holyfield incident, he tried out his hands in wrestling. He had a feud with Shawn Michaels and ended up knocking him out at a WrestleMania event. Thus, talks were in place for his partner Triple-H to take revenge on the boxer.
