Even though Francis Ngannou is not fighting for any title that Tyson Fury currently has, the fight organizers decided to create a new belt known as the ‘Riyadh Champion’ title. This means that people are expecting Tyson Fury to have a hard time defeating Francis Ngannou and there is actually something on the line.

On Thursday, the press conference leading up to this massive crossover fight between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury took place. We are talking about the two greatest heavyweights in boxing and MMA at the moment.

Although Francis decieded to ditch the UFC because he wanted better conditions and became the face of the PFL. Regardless of this new home, Ngannou is still considered the best heavyweight despite Jon Jones’ recent win against Ciryl Gane.

For Tyson Fury, being the best boxing heavyweight in the world is not enough, he wants to be the most feared heavyweight in combat sports. In order to accomplish that, he needs to get into an octagon with the baddest he can think of. Either Francis Ngannou or Jon Jones will be enough for him.

But Fury needs to be careful what he says because MMA is definitely not the same as boxing. Once one of these fighters gets him on the ground, he will be asking for mercy in no time. Fury still feels confident he can fight any of them, here’s what he said in the red carpet: “I’d like to fight Ngannou in the cage, I think I can beat him for sure. He’s not a good wrestler, he’s known for striking and I’m a better striker than him. In little gloves, I’d knock him out in seconds… I’d fight Jon Jones also in the cage, if the money was right.”

During the press conference, Tyson Fury put on a real show and they showed the belt that the winner is taking home after the fight. There was a moment in which the ‘Gypsy King’ did talk about Ngannou’s potential penis size just for the clicks.

Fury acknowledged he is getting paid a lot of money to fight Ngannou, proving he ducked Usyk because the pay day wasn’t the same. Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou is taking place on October 28 and it will air on TNT Sports PPV in the UK. No price for the event has been set yet.
