Mike Tyson’s Surprise Appearance Steals the Show at Patrick Mouratoglou’s Lavish Celebration

While Serena Williams has bid adieu to her tennis career, one of her former coaches continues to grow his academy. Well yes, the former coach in question is none other than Patrick Mouratoglou himself. His academy has been one of the most renowned practice places for top tennis players, including Stefanos Tsitsipas and Coco Gauff.

Recently, Mouratoglou celebrated the grand opening of his resort in Biot, France. Unsurprisingly, a few celebrities showed up at the celebratory event. The retired French soccer star Adil Rami and actor Erika Januza were in the spotlight. However, it was the famous former American boxer, Mike Tyson, who had all the limelight.

Tyson and Mouratoglou have had a good relationship in recent years owing to the American tennis legend Serena Williams. While Mouratoglou formed a formidable partnership with the ‘Queen of the Court’, winning 10 Grand Slam titles, Mike Tyson, on the other hand, has had a few memorable moments with Serena.

How Serena Williams played a role in Tyson’s friendship with Mouratoglou?

Mouratoglou and Tyson’s friendship dates back to 2019 and since then, the two have had a close relationship. The French coach posted a picture of Tyson on his Instagram story. Back in 2019, Williams had a punching session with the renowned boxer. Tyson trained the 23-time major champion at Mouratoglou’s coaching camp during the off-season and that’s where the friendship started.

Tyson went on to post a picture with Williams on his Instagram. His caption said, “I don’t want to get in the ring with this GOAT @serenawilliams much love and respect.“. One of the most fierce boxers of recent times had nothing but respect for the 23-time major champion.

More than friendship, Tyson has always been an admirer of Serena Williams. He has often been spotted at tennis matches, especially when Williams was playing.
